#### General Rules

1. This is an ordinary forum; Spamming, flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will be treated accordingly. #
2. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. #
3. Members should remember that we are here only to do maths of any level. Off topic posts or answers are not acceptable and will be removed instantly by one of the moderators. #
4. Messages violating copyrights (of any type) are not allowed and will be deleted instantly. Links are not allowed in signatures too. #
5. This is an English speaking community. Therefore, members are asked to post only in English. Posting in any other language will result in message deletion. #
6. You cannot use the logo of mathimatikoi.org without a permission from the administrators. #

#### Posting

1. As we have stated above this site is of university level mathematics, but also for specific areas, such as mathematical competitions and Euclidean geometry.
• Please, do NOT post (or respond to) questions of high-school level. There are many internet forums for questions of that level.
• Do NOT post (or respond to) questions related to numerology, etc.
#
2. Posts with mathematical formulae written in ascii format (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) or as embedded images are not acceptable and will be removed by one of the moderators. Also, posts containing pdf, doc, docx, etc. as a question or as an answer to a question are also unacceptable and will be removed without prior notice to the poster. (The only case that is allowed is part of a survey or a paper). #
3. Before you post your question, try to solve it yourself. Write your question in detail and, if any, the results of your efforts. Show understanding for those who know less math than you. (Nobody knows everything in maths!) Do not require an answer to your question at the time you want. The participation in the discussions is voluntary. #
4. Mathematical formulae in mathimatikoi.org are to be written using the known typesetting system $\tLaTeX$, that is easy to learn.Posts that have no $\tLaTeX$ are removed by one of the moderators. A short $\tLaTeX$ and MathJaX tutorial can be found here #
Rendering is done by MathJaX which is an AjaX machine , capable of compiling $\tLaTeX$ code.

#### Policy ·  Rules of Conduct

1. Members are strongly adviced not to create alternate, backup, or multiple accounts and not to share their accounts. If something like this is noticed , it will result in immediate deactivation of all accounts. #
2. Members cannot delete their own registration. In case they want to do so, they are free to contact an administrator. Administrators are easily distinguished by under their name. #
3. Members are strongly adviced not to ask to be moderators. This way it is likely more possible to never be one.#
4. Members are strongly adviced to not act as “back seat moderators”. If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of the Moderator Team by clicking the report button () located at the right bottom of the message. #
5. Conversations in mathimatikoi.org forum are done publically. So, fights , personal inflames or any personal contact are unacceptable.#
6. You should really avoid using anonymity unless truly necessary. If you do so however, please refrain from abusing users (either by private messages or publically) and/or the forum. What we want is to be a big company. Let us get to know each other.#
7. Each exercise awaits a complete solution. Avoid submiting only the final result. This way you discourage someone else from sending a complete one. If you have a comment or a generalization for an exercise , you may submit them after the exercise is solved. Also do not hesitate to send another solution if yours is different than the existing one.#
8. For every exercise you submit to our community , you take the responsibilty to submit also a solution after a reasonable time has passed and a solution was not given. In case you don't have a solution you have the moral responsibility to that state it explicitly.#
9. Each message should be self - reliant. Do not send too many exercises in one message.#
10. We all make typos either it is recklessness or ignorance especially when writing on computer. Before submitting your message make a final typo list. #
11. This community is an english speaking one. Its members and guests are likely not aware of any other language. Avoid quoting in your messages in any other language. If this is necessary, then accompany your message with a simple translation. Also do not use abbreviations. Write down the entire words. mathimatikoi.org is not a chat room and communication (most of the time) is not happening in a real time. #
